The Cold War reached a tempestuous end in 1991, but it didn't just result in the collapse of the Soviet Union.

Political tensions between world powers rose to an all-time high, and diplomatic relations were finally stressed beyond breaking point.
'91 was to be the year the Earth fell.

In August, a multinational political organisation bent on igniting world war staged a coup in the USSR, gained power, and launched the entire arsenal at their disposal.
The planet would be rendered uninhabitable for half a millennium by the devastation, and most of humanity destroyed- but a few were whisked away in spacecraft that had been developed in secret by a powerful global corporation named ROGUE.
The company had developed this program while maintaining the guise of being a weapons design and manufacture firm specialising in ICBMs.

The escapees were specially chosen by senior executives to have all the skills, ideology and biological necessities to be able to set up and maintain a completely new human civilisation.

The aim of the program was to colonise a new, expansive space station in the orbit of the planet Jupiter. Here, it was said, humanity may finally be able to exist in perfect harmony.

Could something like that ever happen?
Well, that's a story for another time.

For now, let me tell you about the journey...
